We at FBC think prayer is an important part of everything we do - it's essential to growth. We believe you need to have a personal prayer time and even be a part of a strategic prayer time. Below are some ideas to help you as you grow in your prayer ministry. Come be a part of the prayer ministry and watch the
mighty things God can do through you and our church!
"Lord, hear my prayer. In Your faithfulness listen to my plea, and in Your righteousness answer me." Psalm 143:1
Our Wednesday Night Prayer List - September 8, 2010

Strategic Prayer Time
2nd & 4th Monday Nights - Prayer Time - 7:00 pm
Prayer Chapel at the Church
General Tips for Your Personal Prayer Time
1 - Designate a prayer spot (can be a chair, room, pillow, but somewhere consistent)
2 - Determine a specific time you will begin to pray
3 - Determine the length of the prayer time - have a watch or clock handy - but make sure it is significant to your need.
4 - Make sure your prayer time is undisturbed by sharing with others when you will be in prayer.
5 - If you get distracted while praying, write down the thought that is distracting you so you can deal with it later.
6 - Fill your prayer time with a variety of activities - pray, journal, petition for friends/family, listen to worship songs
Suggestions for Your Prayer Time
1 - Read Scripture aloud - speak it or even sing it!
2 - Pray through Scripture - find a passage, read a verse then pray about that verse and what it is saying to you
3 - Journal to the Lord - write to the Lord your thoughts
4 - Write on a piece of paper all the areas for which you want to intercede/petition - mark them off as you pray
5 - Incorporate musical instruments in your prayer time
6 - Incorporate maps, pictures or other visual aides
7 - Find the best way to keep you focused and connected with God - location, position, special indicator like a candle
